Project overview

ComSol supplied and installed an 80kWp solar PV system for the new ITM Power site in Sheffield.

The system generates around 76,000kWh of electricity each year, helping ITM Power reduce its reliance on grid energy and lower ongoing electricity costs. With estimated annual savings of around £21,000 and a payback period of approximately 3 years, the installation provides a strong commercial return while supporting the site’s sustainability goals.

Over the next 25 years, the system is expected to save around 817 tonnes of CO2 and deliver more than £500,000 in electricity cost savings.
