Homeco Energy supplied and installed a 12.74kWp solar PV system for Dexel Tyre Company Ltd at 126 Staniforth Road, Sheffield.

The three-phase system includes 28 x 455-watt solar panels and was designed around the available roof space on the site’s south-south-west facing roof elevation. With the company using around 43,000kWh of electricity each year, the installation will help reduce reliance on grid energy by generating clean solar electricity directly on site.

The system is expected to generate around 10,969kWh of solar electricity each year, with Dexel Tyre Company Ltd expected to consume approximately 91% of the energy produced. Based on projected annual income and savings over 20 years, the investment payback period is expected to be around 5 years.

Over 20 years, the system is expected to save around 94 tonnes of CO2.
