Shilton Downs Farm, Burford, Oxfordshire

Commercial 18kWp Solar PV System

We were commissioned to design and install a solar PV solution for Shilton Downs Farm on behalf of the owner. This 18kWp array was completed over a focused forty eight hour window on the corn shed roof. The system now supports the farmhouse and the wider site.

Due to the farm’s consistently high energy use, the majority of the generated power will be consumed on site. This delivers an expected payback period of around three to four years.

The system is forecast to produce approximately 18,756kWh each year. In year one, the farm is set to save an estimated £3,940 on energy costs, with an additional £375 annually through the export tariff. Over the next twenty five years, the environmental benefit is projected at 201 tonnes of CO2 saved.
